DCHS FOOTBALL BOOSTER CLUB MEETING
MINUTES – Monday, March 7, 2011
Welcome: Coach Lee asked everyone to introduce themselves with position and son’s name. Then turned the meeting over to Bryan & Anna Stradley.
Website: Charlie Gastley presented our new website and gave an overview of how the site works. Each officer and 1 class representative have an email account on this site. Web address is www.dchstigersfootball.com
Fundraising: Tessa Hurst presented the flyer for the Spring Game Car & Bike Show. It was voted on and passed to charge $20 advance registration and $30 for gate registration. Deadline for early registration is May 13th. Cars show times are from 8:00-12:00 rain or shine. Awards given will be Coaches Choice, Players Choice and Tiger Choice; all cars entering will receive a dash plaque. Awards will be presented at 12:00p.m. Atlanta Motor sports Park donated a total of 2 one day passes each pass is for 2 people, $10 raffle’s for this prize will be sold and other door prizes given away. Darren Sams is going to get back with us for a number of cars that we could hold.
Golf Tournament has a potential to make approximately $9, 878 with 80 golfers and $3,288 with 20 golfers. Tessa presented information and estimates on Hole in One insurance. Coach Lee was to talk with John Megal Chevrolet about the Hole in One vehicle donation. Goody bags, door prizes will also be given away. Everyone present was encouraged to get out and promote this tournament and work getting donations for the prizes. Golf Tournament date is set for April 29th at Crystal Falls. Drop-dead date is March 31st for golfers to sign up.
Fishing Tournament will be held June 11th at Little Hall Park $80 per boat.
First blitz date for Liki Tiki tickets is Saturday March 12th at Food Lion. Tessa emailed all parents a sign up sheet for the players to sign up.

Welcome: Coach Lee
Fundraising: Tessa Hurst spoke with Milton Martin Toyota and they agreed to donate the car and purchase the hole in one insurance. Still need sponsors for each hole and also any other donations for this event. Last possible date for sponsors would be April 1st to give us time to prepare for the tournament.
Spring game information--BBQ Tickets will be given out to the players at the March 31st parent meeting each player needs to sell 10 tickets. The players will have from March 31st until May 1st to sell these tickets. Tickets are $6 they include admission to the game and a BBQ plate. Day of event admission will be $3. Plate consists of sandwich, chips, pickle spears and dessert. Keith Parker will get Brunswick stew to be sold separately. Charlie said he would contact Jitterbug moonwalk for them to come to the event. The Atlanta Motor Sports Park raffle is a $1,000 value raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each. Due to age restrictions no one under 18 can register for this raffle due to age restrictions.
